Please note that formatting (initializing) a memory card erases all
data (p. 35), including protected images and other file types. Please
check the contents of a memory card before formatting it.
Erasing All Images
zPlease note that erased images cannot be recovered.
Exercise adequate caution before erasing an image.
zProtected images cannot be erased with this function.
Please format the memory card when you want to erase not
only image data but also all the data contained on the card
(p. 35).
