Snapshot Tutorial
Your camera has a variety of different exposure
modes. Before recording an image, rotate the mode
dial to select the exposure mode that suits the type of
image you are trying to record.
Selecting the Exposure Mode
BEST SHOT
Simply select one of a collection of built-in sample scenes and the camera sets
up automatically for beautiful images every time (page 68).
Auto
Use this setting for easy image recording. This is the mode you normally should
use (page 25).
A A (Aperture Priority) mode
In this mode, you select the aperture and other settings
are adjusted accordingly.

Press [SET] to open the control panel.

Use [8] and [2] to select the fourth control panel
option from the top (aperture).

Use [4] and [6] to change the aperture setting.
S S (Shutter Speed Priority) mode
In this mode, you select the shutter speed and other
settings are adjusted accordingly.

Press [SET] to open the control panel.

Use [8] and [2] to select the fourth control panel
option from the top (shutter speed).

Use [4] and [6] to change the shutter speed setting.
M M (Manual Exposure) mode
This mode gives you total control over aperture and
shutter speed settings.
