1 Rotate the mode dial to A.
• The camera enters A (auto) mode and can
be used for general shooting.
• Battery level indicator
b: The battery level is high.
B: The battery level is low.
• Number of exposures remaining
C is displayed when no memory card is
inserted in the camera, and images are
saved in the internal memory.
2 Hold the camera steady.
• Keep fingers and other objects away from
the lens, flash, AF assist-illuminator,
microphone, and speaker.
• When taking pictures in portrait (“tall”)
orientation, turn the camera so that the
flash is above the lens.
