Step 1 Turn the Camera On and Select
G
(Easy Auto) Mode
This section describes how to take pictures in G (easy auto) mode, an automatic,
“point-and-shoot” mode recommended for first-time users of digital cameras.
1 Press the power switch to turn on the camera.
The power-on lamp (green) will light for a moment and
the monitor will turn on.
Proceed to step 4 when U is displayed.
2 Press the shooting mode button.
The shooting-mode selection menu will be displayed.
3 Press the multi selector H or I to choose G
and press k.
The camera enters G (easy auto) mode.
4 Check the battery level and number of
exposures remaining.

The number of pictures that can be stored will be displayed.
The number of pictures that can be stored depends on the capacity of the memory or
memory card and image mode setting (A67).
Monitor Description
NO INDICATOR Batteries fully charged.

Batteries low; prepare to replace
