Matrix Balanced Fill-Flash
With the system set to Matrix, Matrix Balanced Fill-Flash
is
availabl
e.
Based on a combination of general scene brightness and con-
trast, the exposure value for the background
is
determined by
one of five computation methods: Low-Brightness Weighted,
Center-Segme
nt
, Average, High-Brightness Weighted,
or
Very-
High-Brightness Weighted. Together with the background
exposure metering, the F4's microcomputer automatica
ll
y
chooses one from five flash output levels determined by the
combination of brightness and degree of contrast. The result
is
a balanced combina
ti
on of ambient light and flash
il
lumination
that produces a natural-looking and pleasing effect.
