Shooting Options: The Shooting Menu
While shooting in A (auto) mode (A 20), the shooting menu contains the
following options.
Displaying the Shooting Menu
Enter A (auto) mode (A 20).
Press the d button to display the shooting menu.
• Use the multi selector to choose and apply settings (A 9).
• To exit the shooting menu, press the d button.
B Functions that Cannot Be Applied Simultaneously
Some functions cannot be enabled in conjunction with others (A105).
A Image mode A 94
Choose the image mode (a combination of the image size and image quality
(compression)) to be used when recording.
Also available when using other shooting modes (except movie mode).
B White balance A 96
Match white balance to the light source.
C Continuous A 98
Change settings for Continuous or BSS (best shot selector).
E ISO sensitivity A 99
Control the camera’s sensitivity to light.
F Color options A 100
Apply color effects to pictures as they are recorded.
G AF area mode A 101
Choose how the focus area is determined.
