AUTO (Auto Flash)
In the Auto Flash mode, the flash will fire
automatically in low-light and backlit
conditions.
The orange lamp in the upper right of the viewfinder
lights when the shutter release button is depressed
halfway.
Notes:
When the orange lamp is blinking, the flash is being recharged
and the shutter won't release. Wait for several seconds.
The flash sometimes does not work even in backlit conditions.
(This happens especially with telephoto when the subject is too
small and in other situations.) Set the flash mode to FILL-IN in
such a case.
