Recording with Manual Focus
Adjustment
This makes it possible to adjust the focus manually for
subjects and recording situations for which automatic focusing
is not precise.
1 Press the [PROG. AE] Button repeatedly until
an indication other than [AUTO] Indication
appears.
2 Keep the [W/T] Zoom Lever pushed toward [T]
to zoom in on the subject.
1
≥Zooming in on the subject before adjusting the focus
ensures that the subject remains precisely focused
even when you later zoom out. 2
3 Turn the [MF] Dial to adjust the focus.
≥The [MF] Indication 3 appears. ([MF] means Manual
Focus.)
4 Push the [W/T] Zoom Lever toward [W] to zoom
out as desired.
Cancelling the Manual Focus Mode
Press the [FOCUS] Button 4 once to make the [MF]
Indication disappear. Or, press the [PROG. AE] Button
repeatedly until the [AUTO] Indication appears.
