You can capture a single frame from a movie and save it as a JPEG still
picture.

Press the four-way controller (2)
in Step 3 on p.177 to pause the
movie, and display the frame to
save as a still picture.
While paused, you can advance the
movie in one-frame increments using the
four-way controller (45).
The frame number and total number of
frames appear at the top right of the
screen.

Press the L button.
The save confirmation screen appears.

Use the four-way controller (23)
to select [Save as] and press the
4 button.
The captured image is saved as a new
image.
• You can use the provided AV cable I-AVC7 or a commercially available HDMI
cable to play back the recorded movies on a TV screen or other AV devices.

• Even if you used an external microphone to record movie sound in stereo,
monaural sound is played back when you output the movie via the PC/AV
terminal. When you output the movie via the mini HDMI terminal, sound is
played back in stereo.
