Taking Pictures

You can choose settings appropriate for taking pictures of dark scenes,
such as nightscapes.
1 Press the four-way controller (3) in A mode.
The Capture Mode Palette appears.
2 Use the four-way controller (2345) to select A
(Night Scene) or y (Fireworks).
3 Press the 4 button.
The shooting mode is selected and the camera returns to capture
status.
4 Press the shutter release button halfway.
The focus frame on the LCD monitor turns green if the subject is in
focus.
5 Press the shutter release button fully.
The picture is taken.
Taking Pictures of Dark Scenes
(Night Scene/Fireworks Mode)

Use this mode when taking pictures of night views.

Use this mode to take spectacular pictures of fireworks.
The shutter speed is slower when taking pictures of dark scenes.
To prevent camera shake, use a tripod and the self-timer function.

The sensitivity is set at 64, the focus mode is set to s, and the
flash mode is set to a in y mode. In addition, the shutter speed
is set at 4 sec. and the aperture is left open, and EV compensation
is not available.
