Press the shutter release
button fully.
For g, the self-timer lamp starts
blinking slowly and blinks rapidly two
seconds before the shutter is released.
The beep is heard and the rate
increases. The shutter will be released
about 12 seconds after the shutter
release button is pressed fully.
For r, the shutter will be released about two seconds after the shutter
release button is pressed fully.

Turn the camera off after
shooting.
The next time the power is turned on,
self-timer shooting is canceled and
returns to single frame shooting.
• Exposure may be affected if light enters the viewfinder. Attach the provided
viewfinder cap or use the AE lock function (p.142). (Ignore the light entering
the viewfinder when the exposure mode is set to a (Manual) (p.138).)
• Remove the Eyecup F
L by pulling one side upward when using accessories
such as the viewfinder cap.
