For Windows® and Macintosh Users:
Symptom Problem Solution
I cannot activate my digital camera
by pressing the button.
Insufficient battery power or battery
is missing.
Recharge your battery or insert your
battery into the camera.
Battery door is not closed. Make sure the battery door is
securely closed.
Camera suddenly powers off. Auto Power Off function is
activated.
Or
The battery is exhausted.
Turn the camera on.
Or
Recharge your battery.
Image is not recorded when the
Shutter button is pressed.
Camera is turned off.
Or
Flash unit is charging.
Or
Memory is full.
Turn the camera on.
Or
Wait until flash unit charging finishes.
Or
Delete images you no longer need,
or use another memory card.
Camera powers off during self-timer
countdown.
The battery is exhausted. Replace your batteries.
LCD screen image is out of focus. Normal focus is being used for
macro images.
Select a correct scene shooting
mode for taking pictures.
AVI file cannot be played. DirectX version is lower than 9.0 Install DirectX 9.0 or above. Visit
http://www.microsoft.com/directx
for more details.
The camera is detected by the
Windows and works properly. But a
drive letter of the Removable Disk is
not created.
The removable disk crashes with
the network drives.
Disconnect the crashed network
drive and reserve this drive letter
for the camera.
There is no response from the
camera while pressing any buttons.
The LCD screen is frozen or the
camera is hanged.
Remove and re-install the battery or
batteries to reset the camera. Your
valuable data stored in the camera
will not be lost.
