To avoid missing unexpected underwater shooting opportunities with
subjects about 3 m (9.8 ft.) away from you, try switching to S mode (p. 78)
and setting the focusing range to 8.
Choose S.
Follow step 1 on p. 78 and choose S.
Choose the focusing range.
Press the q button, press the qr buttons to
choose 8, and then press the m button.
Shoot.
Aim the camera so that the subject is in the
center frame, and then press the shutter
button halfway.
As soon as you notice a good shooting
opportunity, press the shutter button all the
way down.
Because the camera will shoot continuously in mode, hold it
steady while shooting.
In mode, shooting conditions that cause excessive camera shake
or similar issues may prevent the camera from combining images,
and you may not be able to obtain the expected results.
In t mode, mount the camera on a tripod or take other measures to
keep it still and prevent camera shake. In this case, set [IS Mode] to
[Off] (p. 119).
mode resolution is (1984 x 1488) and cannot be changed.
In mode, optical zoom is set to maximum wide angle and cannot be used.
