Troubleshooting
Subject in recorded image is too bright, or image
flashes white.
Subject is too close,
making the flash too
strong.
zShoot within correct flash range of the
subject when using the built-in flash
(p. 188).
zAdjust the flash output with the flash
exposure compensation function
(p. 86).
zSet the safety FE to [On] (p. 86).
The subject is
overexposed because the
surroundings are too dark.
zSet the exposure compensation to a
negative (–) setting (p. 99).
zUse the spot metering function
(p. 100).
Too much light is shining
directly into the camera, or
is being reflected off the
subject.
zChange the shooting angle.
Flash is set to (Flash
on).

Image contains noise.

Auto) setting may increase image
noise. For higher image quality, use
