Shooting
Changing the shutter speed and
aperture value combination
The automatically selected combinations of shutter speeds
and aperture values can be freely changed without altering
the exposure to shoot images.

Set the shooting mode dial to , or
.

Turn on the LCD monitor.

Focus on the subject on which you wish
to lock the exposure.
zIn or modes, the Safety Shift function works
if [Safety Shift] is set to [On] (p. 45).

Press and hold the shutter button
halfway and press the button.
zThe exposure setting will lock and the icon will
appear on the LCD monitor.

Press the or button until the
desired shutter speed or aperture value
is reached.

Recompose the image and shoot.
zThe setting will cancel after the shot is taken.
