z No image will appear on the LCD monitor
when the camera is connected to a TV
monitor.
z The video output signal can be switched
(NTSC or PAL) to accommodate different
regional standards (p. 73). The default
setting varies between regions.
- NTSC: Japan, U.S.A., Canada, Taiwan,
etc.
- PAL: Europe, Asia (excluding Taiwan),
Oceania, etc.
If the video system is set incorrectly, the
camera output may not display properly.
z If the TV is a stereo model, you can plug the
audio plug into either the left or right Audio
In jack. Please refer to the TV’s manual for
details.
z A TV set cannot be used in mode.
Resetting the File Number
The images you shoot are automatically
assigned file numbers. You can select how
the file number is assigned.

In the [ (Set up)]
menu, select
(File No. Reset).
z See Selecting Menus and
Settings (p. 66).

Select [On] or [Off] using the or
button.

Press the MENU button.
On
The file number is reset to the start (100-0001)
each time a new memory card is inserted. New
images recorded on memory cards with existing
images are assigned the next available number.
Off
The file number of the last image to be shot is
memorized so that images recorded to a new
memory card start from the next number.
