Snapshot Tutorial
The initial factory default image size setting is 12M (12 million pixels).
Selecting “3:2” records images with an aspect ratio of 3:2, which matches the
standard aspect ratio of print paper.
The letters “HDTV” stand for “High Definition Television”. An HDTV screen has
an aspect ratio of 16:9, which makes them wider than the usual 4:3 aspect ratio
of television screens of the past. Your camera can record images that are
compatible with the aspect ratio an HDTV screen.
You should regard the print paper sizes suggested here as guidelines only
(200 dpi print resolution).
Available image sizes are limited for some functions as noted below.
12M
This image size is not supported by HS BEST SHOT scenes. Selecting
an HS BEST SHOT scene after selecting “12M” in another mode will
cause the image size setting to change to “10M” automatically.
3:2,
16:9
This image size is not supported by HS BEST SHOT scenes. Selecting
an HS BEST SHOT scene after selecting “3:2” or “16:9” in another
mode will cause the image size setting to change to “10M”
automatically. However, when the “F CS” mode is selected for the “High
Speed CS” HS BEST SHOT scene, the image size setting becomes
“12M”.
10M
This image size can be selected by HS BEST SHOT scenes only.
Switching to another mode while the “High Speed CS” HS BEST SHOT
scene is selected and High Speed CS is selected for the “CS mode”
setting, or while “10M” is selected by another HS BEST SHOT scene
will cause the image size to change to “12M” automatically.
