Taking Pictures (q AUTO Mode)
AF-assist illuminator
Use this illuminator to focus on the subject in dimly lit
conditions.
When pressing the shutter button down halfway, the
camera fires the AF-assist illuminator (green) while
focusing on your subject.
MEMO
The camera focuses most easily when a picture is taken
at a distance of around 3.8 m (12.5 ft.) with wide-angle
and 1.7 m (5.6 ft.) with telephoto.
Even though there is no danger to safety, do not expose
it directly in someone’s eyes.

illuminator off.

Adjusting the shot composition
Select the LCD monitor display.
Press DISP/BACK to change the LCD monitor display.
