The camera
does not take
a picture
when I press
the Shutter
button.

The camera is
still saving the
last picture you
took.
Wait a few seconds for the
camera to finish processing the
image, and then press the Shutter
button.
Images in the
memory
(internal or
card) may be
corrupted.
Format the memory. (See
page 50)
My image is
blurry.
Your subject
was too close to
the camera
lens.
Use Macro mode for close-up
shots. Do not try to get closer than
the camera’s minimum focus
range (See Using macro mode on
page 36)
You moved the
camera while
you took the
picture.
Hold the camera steady as you
press the Shutter button or use a
tripod.
The light is low
and the flash is
set to Flash Off.
In dim light, the camera requires
a longer exposure. Use a tripod
to hold the camera steady,
improve lighting conditions, or
the flash To Flash On (see
page 30).
The camera
focused on the
wrong thing, or
was unable to
focus.
Use Focus Lock. (See page 23.)
