Flash does not fire ■ Check the flash setting, and change as needed (page 19).
NOTE: The flash does not fire in all modes.
Storage location is
almost or entirely full
■ Transfer the pictures to the computer (page 12).
■ Delete pictures from the card or insert a new card.
■ Change the image storage location to internal memory
(page 32).
Battery life is short
■ Make sure the correct battery type is installed (page 55).
■ Wipe the contacts with a clean, dry cloth before inserting a
battery in the camera. See page 55.
■ Insert a new or charged battery (page 1).
You cannot take a
picture
■ Turn the camera off, then on again. Make sure the camera is not
in Favorites mode.
■ Depress the Shutter button all the way (page 5).
■ Insert a new or charged battery (page 1).
■ Wait until the Ready light turns green before taking another
picture.
■ Memory is full. Transfer pictures to the computer (page 12),
delete pictures (page 11), change image storage location, or
insert another card.
Error message appears
on the LCD
■ Turn the camera off, then on again.
■ Remove the memory card.
■ Remove the battery. Wipe the contacts with a clean, dry cloth
(page 55).
■ Insert a new or charged battery (page 1).
■ If the problem still exists, get help (page 47).
Memory card not
recognized or the
camera freezes with
the card.
■ Card may be corrupted. Format the card in the camera (Format,
page 35).
■ Use another memory card.
