Picture is too dark.
■ Turn on the flash (see page 8).
■ Move so that the distance between you and the subject is within the
effective flash range (see page 54).
■ Use Fill flash (page 8) or change your position so light is not behind
the subject.
■ Increase Exposure Compensation (see page 35).
Camera does not
recognize SD card.
■ Purchase a certified SD/SDHC card.
■ Reformat the card (see page 34).
Caution: Formatting a card deletes all pictures and videos,
including protected files.
■ Insert a card into the slot, then push to seat (see page 4).
Camera freezes up
when a card is
inserted or
removed.
■ Turn the camera off, then back on.
■ Make sure the camera is turned off before inserting or removing a
card.
■ Try another SD/SDHC card.
Memory card full.
■ Insert a new card (see page 4), transfer pictures to the computer (see
page 37), or delete pictures (see page 17).
Memory card and
internal memory
full.
■ Transfer pictures to the computer (see page 37), then format the card
or internal memory (see page 34).
