USING THE
SELF-TIMER
Use this feature to include yourself
in pictures.
1. Use the TRIPOD SOCKET (20) to attach the
camera to a tripod or place it on another
firm support.
2. Open the LENS COVER/FLASH (2) to raise
the flash and to turn the camera ON.
3. Press the ENTER/SELF-TIMER BUTTON (17).
4. Frame your picture in the VIEWFINDER
EYEPIECE (9).
5. Press the SHUTTER BUTTON (1). The SELF-
TIMER LAMP (4) on the front of the camera
will blink for approximately 10 seconds
before the picture is taken.
To cancel the self-timer selection
before the shutter releases, repress
the enter/self-timer button or close the
lens cover/flash.
The self-timer automatically turns off
after the shutter releases.
3. Frame your picture in the VIEWFINDER
EYEPIECE (9).
4. Press the SHUTTER BUTTON (1) to take
the picture.
Infinity focus
In this mode, you can capture sharp,
distant scenery when you take pictures
outdoors.
1. Open the LENS COVER/FLASH (2) to raise
the flash and to turn the camera ON.
2. Press the SELECT/FLASH BUTTON (19)
repeatedly until the INFINITY-FOCUS
INDICATOR (29) appears on the
LCD PANEL (10).
3. Frame your subject within the VIEWFINDER
EYEPIECE (9).
4. Press the SHUTTER BUTTON (1) to take
the picture.
