Press the date button.
Press and hold the select
button (SEL) for 3 seconds
until the date on the data
panel blinks.
Turn the control dial to
change the format.
The format will change in the
following sequence:
Press the shutter-release
button to set the format.
The usual display will return.
The quartz-date is powered by the cameras battery. When the battery is
removed, the date settings will remain for about 5 minutes. After that time,
the date will be reset to 2001.01.01 (January 1st.). When the new batteries
are inserted, the audio signal will beep to indicate the date and time have
been reset.
When the date has not been set, the date settings blink on the data panel
when the camera is turned on.

FOR OWNERS OF THE QUARTZ DATE MODEL
Press the date button.
Press the select button (SEL)
to select the year, month,
day, hour, or minute.
The item that can be changed will
blink.
The data back has a 24-hour clock.
2pm should be set as 14:00.
The item will cycle as follows.
Turn the control dial to
change the date and time
values.
Data continues changing as long as
the dial turns.
Press the shutter-release
button to set the date and
time.
The usual display will return.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 until
the date and time are
displayed correctly.
