The Basics of Shooting and Playback
1 Hold the camera steady.
Keep fingers and other objects away from the lens, flash, AF
assist-illuminator, microphone, and speaker.
When taking pictures in portrait (“tall”) orientation, turn the
camera so that the flash is above the lens.
2 Frame the picture.
When the camera automatically determines the scene
mode, the shooting mode icon changes (A32).
B Notes About x (Scene Auto Selector) Mode
Depending upon shooting conditions, the camera may not select the desired scene mode. In this
case, select another shooting mode (A34, 40, 42, 44).
