operation
with your
camera
body

verifying that

ring
is fitted with a
meter
coupling
ridge
as
illustrated at
the
right. Note that

" mark
on
the
cover
of
the
instruction
sheet
provided
with AI
Nikkor l
enses
is your
assurance
that
the
lens offers
the
AI feature.
If
the
lens is fitted with
the
meter
coupling
ridge,
it is
fully
capable
of full-aperture
exposure
measurement
and
automatic
maximum
aperture
indexing; to
attach
it to
the
camera,
follow
the
directions
provided
in
the
BASIC
OPERATION section of this instruction manual.
If
the
lens
is non-AI, stop-down
exposure
measurement
is
required
with
the
camera
body's
meter
coupling
lever
locked
up; to lock
up
the
lever, follow
the
directions in
the
"Meter
coupling
lever" section of CONTROLS
IN
DETAIL.
