You can save the current shooting mode settings (P/AUTO, h, s) for use the next time
the camera is turned on.
•For s mode, the screen of the scene mode that was set the last time the camera was
turned off is displayed.
When the camera is turned on in playback mode and then turned off in playback mode, the
shooting mode is set to P/AUTO the next time the camera is turned on.
Select [2] and press 3 to set a still picture in the internal memory or card as the startup
screen ([16:9] still pictures cannot be selected).
Select [MY FAVORITE] and press 3 to set a still picture registered in “My Favorite” as the
startup screen.

[VOLUME] cannot be set in the following cases.
When [SCREEN] is set to [OFF]
When [SILENT MODE] is set to [ON]
Select [MY FAVORITE] and press 3 to set a still picture registered in “My Favorite” as the
background.

K/q ...................Using the K/h/s button or the q/P button to turn on the camera

Pressing K/h/s turns on the camera and starts the camera in the
shooting mode.
Pressing q/P turns on the camera and starts the camera in the playback
mode.
NO The power is not turned on even if K/h/s or q/P is pressed. To turn
on the camera, press o.
