This function allows you to record colour subjects
in dark locations to stand out against the
background.
Attach this unit to a tripod, and you can record
images free from vibration.
≥Recorded scene is seen as if frames were
missed.
Colour night view function:
You can record dark locations brightly in colour.
(Minimum required illumination: approx. 2 lx)
0 Lux colour night view function:
You can record completely dark locations with
the light of the LCD monitor.

Rotate the mode dial to select .
1 Press the cursor button. Then
move the cursor button down to
display the icon shown in the
illustration.
2 Move the cursor button up to
select [ ].
≥Each upward press changes the modes:
Colour night view function # 0 Lux colour
night view function # Off

(In the case of 0 Lux colour night view function)
Extend the viewfinder and rotate
the LCD monitor towards the lens
side.
≥When the LCD monitor is reversed, the
screen is lit in white.
≥Extend the viewfinder and view the images
while recording.
≥The light of the LCD monitor reaches
approx. 1.2 m or less.
To cancel the colour night view function
Select [ ] until the colour night view indication
disappear.
≥The focus indication does not appear even if
the PHOTO SHOT button is pressed halfway.
≥When using auto focus, it will take some time to
focus in dark areas. If there is difficulty focusing
with auto focus, manually adjust the focus.
≥The flash cannot be used.
≥The colour night view function makes the signal
charging time of CCD up to approximately 8k
longer than usual, so that dark scenes can be
recorded brightly. For this reason, bright dots
that are usually invisible may be seen, but this
is not a malfunction.
≥If you turn off the power or operate the mode
dial, the colour night view function is cancelled.
≥If set in a bright place, the screen may become
whitish for a while.
