This function allows you to record color images in very low
light situations. (Minimum required illumination: approx.
1lx)
Self-timer
This is for recording still pictures using the timer.
Each time the icon is selected, the indication changes by
one setting in the following order:
h10 h2 setting canceled
h10: Records after 10 seconds
h2: Records after 2 seconds
p In Motion Picture Recording Mode, set this function from the
menu.
p When the button is pressed, a still picture is recorded
after the h10 or h2 display and the recording lamp flashes
for the time which has been set.
p After recording, the self-timer is canceled.
p In Auto Focus Mode, if the button is pressed halfway
once and then fully, the lens focuses on the subject when the
button is pressed halfway.
p If the button is pressed fully all at once, the lens focuses
on the subject just before recording.
To stop the timer midway through
Press the MENU button.
Built-in flash
When the button is pressed, the flash is activated and
the picture will be recorded. Use the built-in flash in order
to record still pictures in dark places.
Each time the ` icon is selected, the indication changes by one
setting in the following order:

`:ON
`A: AUTO
:OFF
p In Motion Picture Recording Mode, set this function from the
menu.
p This function’s default setting is `A.
p When the button is pressed halfway, the flash indicator
will appear.
p
The unit automatically determines if the flash is necessary even
when it has been set to by detecting the ambient brightness.
(If it determines that the flash is necessary, the indication
lights up in red when the button is pressed halfway.)
w To adjust the brightness of the flash
p The Intelligent Auto Mode is set to off in Motion Picture
Recording Mode. (F 47)
Select the menu. (F 33)
[PICTURE] [FLASH LEVEL] desired setting
[`L]: Less bright
[`F0]: Normal
[`K]: Much brighter
