When the SD Video Camera is turned on,
do not attach or remove the battery, or
plug the power cord in or out.
ª Fitting the Camera on the AV
Cradle (l 13)
To fit the SD Video Camera on the AV
Cradle, turn the SD Video Camera [OFF].
When the SD Video Camera is connected
to the AV Cradle, the SD Video Camera
cannot record through-the-lens images.
When the AC adaptor is connected to this
SD Video Camera, the SD Video Camera
cannot be fitted on the AV Cradle.
ª Inserting a Memory Card (l 14)
An SD Memory Card can be used for this
SD Video Camera.
While the Card Access Lamp [ACCESS] is
on, the following operations should not
be attempted: (Such action will damage
the Memory Card, cause loss of recorded
data and cause the SD Video Camera to
malfunction.)
-Remove or insert the Memory Card.
-Remove the battery or unplug the power
cable.
-Apply vibration or shock.
Close a Card Slot Cover after checking
whether the Memory Card is inserted
correctly.
Do not touch the terminals on the back of
the Memory Card with your fingers.
Electrical noise, static electricity or failure
of the SD Video Camera or the Memory
Card may damage the Memory Card or
erase the data stored on the Memory
Card. It is recommended to save
important data onto a personal computer.
Some cards may pop out when they are
removed.
Cannot guarantee the contents of
recording when pictures are recorded on a
MultiMediaCard.
ª Using the LCD Monitor (l 15)
Forcefully rotating the LCD Monitor
beyond ranges described in these
operating instructions will damage the SD
Video Camera.
When the LCD Monitor is closed with its
display section facing outward, operation
with the Multi-function Button or [MENU]
Button is disabled. You can perform the
function such as playing back, recording
and adjusting the volume, etc. with the
remote controller.
ª Turning the Power On/Selecting
Operation Modes (l 17)
If the SD Video Camera is not used for
5 minutes or longer, the power is
automatically turned off. Set the Power/
Mode Switch to [OFF] and turn it back on.
ª Using the Menu Screen (l 18)
While a Menu is displayed, you cannot
record or play back.
The menu screen does not appear during
recording.
ª Setting Date and Time (l 22)
The built-in battery sustains the operation
of the clock.
The clock might cause a deviation from
the correct date and/or time, so be sure to
check the current date and/or time before
recording.
If the [0] indicator is displayed, set the
date and time after the battery has
charged. (l 66)
