Optional Focusing Screens (K20D only)
PENTAX oers two optional focusing screens for the K20D to replace the standard
screen. The AF Divided Matte screen combines the focus area brackets with a
grid to assure proper composition. The AF Scale Matte screen provide a scale to
verify subject placement for critical applications.
Digital sensors are perfectly at, which requires a higher level of precision when PENTAX designs lenses. This means developing
lenses that have the optimal lens curvature, particularly the last lens element before the sensor. The application of multiple lens
coatings, such as the PENTAX original smc coating and ghostless coatings, is necessary to prevent external and internal reections
to capture optimal detail even in the most dicult lighting conditions. The eects of chromatic and spherical aberrations are
minimized through the use of ED and aspherical glass elements. All these technologies are combined to create lenses that will
give the highest level of detail with the high resolution sensors used in PENTAX digital SLR bodies.
