Taking Pictures
If you take a picture while looking through the viewfinder when
the focus mode is set on Macro, the range of the resulting pic-
ture may differ from what was seen in the viewfinder.
Manual Focus
When the mode is set on , focus the camera on the subject
manually while observing the enlarged display in the middle.

The Manual Focus mode is canceled when you exit the Capture
mode.
• It is difficult to obtain the correct focus in Auto mode when tak-
ing pictures in a dark place. In this case, if you press the shutter
release button halfway, AF spotbeam will be emitted, enabling
the camera to focus more easily on the subject.
