ensure correct use.
Loading the Batteries
1. Open the Battery Compartment by sliding the latch on the Battery Compartment
Door to the direction of the arrow. (Fig. 1)
2. Gently lift up on the Battery Compartment Door. (Fig. 1)
3. lnsert two AAA alkaline batteries into the Battery Compartment, checking that
the (+) and (-) on the battery are aligned according to the polarity
information shown on the contact plate. (Fig. 2)
4. Close the Battery Compartment Door by pushing it back until it latches.
About the Film Speed
The Camera is designed to use DX-coded ISO100 or 400 lm. When the lm is
loaded, the camera automatically sets the correct lm speed by reading the black-
and-silver pattern on the lm cassettes. If DX-coded ISO 200 lm is loaded, lm speed
will be set to ISO400. If non DX-coded lm is loaded, lm speed will be set to ISO100
automatically.
Loading the Film
1. Open the Film Compartment Door by pressing upward on the Film Door Latch and
gently lift up the Film Compartment Door. (Fig. 3)
2. Insert the lm into the Film Compartment, and pull out the lm leader to reach the
Film Tip Mark. (Fig. 4)
3. Make sure the lm perforations engage the lm Sprocket Gear, and the lm lies
