✤ You can use the MEMORY FORMAT functions to completely
delete all images and options on the Memory Stick, including
protected images.
✤ The format function restores the Memory Stick to its initial state.
✤ The Memory Stick supplied with this camcorder has been
formatted already.
Attention
✤ If you execute the MEMORY FORMAT function, all images will
be erased completely and erased images
cannot be recovered.
1. Set the mode switch to MEMORY STICK.
2. Set the power switch to PLAYER mode.
3. Press the MENU button.
4. Move the MENU SELECTOR to highlight
MEMORY and push the MENU SELECTOR.

The sub menu will appear.
5. Select FORMAT from the list and push the MENU
SELECTOR.
6. “ALL FILES ARE DELETED! FORMAT REALLY?”
appears on the screen.
7. Using the MENU SELECTOR, select the item.

NO : To return to previous menu
■
YES : To start formatting.
8. Push the MENU SELECTOR.
If you selected the “YES”, “COMPLETE!” is
appeared on the screen when the MEMORY
STICK formatting is finished.
9. To exit the menu, push the MENU button.

If you want to format the Memory Stick on your PC, use only the
“Memory Stick formatter” supplied with the software CD.

✤ Mit der Funktion MEMORY FORMAT können Sie alle auf dem
Memory Stick gespeicherten Daten löschen. Dabei werden auch
die mit einem Löschschutz versehenen Bilder gelöscht.
✤ Beim Formatieren wird der Memory Stick wieder in den
Ursprungszustand versetzt.
✤ Der mit diesem Camcorder mitgelieferte Memory Stick ist
werkseitig bereits formatiert.
Achtung
✤ Mit der Funktion MEMORY FORMAT werden sämtliche Bilder
gelöscht und können nicht mehr wiederhergestellt werden.
1. Stellen Sie den Funktionsschalter auf MEMORY
STICK.
2. Stellen Sie den Betriebsmodus-Schalter auf PLAYER.
3. Drücken Sie die Taste MENU.
4. Wählen Sie mit dem Menü-Einstellrad die Option
MEMORY aus, und drücken Sie auf das Menü-
Einstellrad.

Das Untermenü wird angezeigt.
5. Wählen Sie mit dem Menü-Einstellrad im
Untermenü die Option FORMAT aus, und drücken
Sie auf das Menü-Einstellrad.
6. Auf dem Monitor erscheint die Anzeige “ALL
FILES ARE DELETED! FORMAT REALLY ?”
(Alle Dateien werden gelöscht! Möchten Sie
fortfahren?).
7. Wählen Sie mit dem Menü-Einstellrad die
gewünschte Option aus.
■
NO: Der Vorgang wird abgebrochen, und Sie
gelangen wieder zum vorherigen Menü.
■
YES: Der Formatiervorgang wird gestartet.
8. Drücken Sie auf das Menü-Einstellrad.
Wenn Sie "YES" ("JA") gewählt haben, wird auf dem Monitor
"COMPLETE!" (VOLLSTÄNDIG!") angezeigt, sobald der
Formatiervorgang beendet ist.
9. Um das Menü wieder zu schließen, drücken Sie die Taste MENU.
Hinweis
■
Falls Sie den Memory Stick am PC formatieren möchten,
verwenden Sie dazu ausschließlich die auf der Software-CD-ROM
enthaltene Formatierungssoftware.
