Viewing images
Symptom Cause Solution
Cannot shoot images with
the flash.
The mode dial is set to , SET UP, or .
The flash is set to (No flash).
When shooting still images, Scene selection is
set to the Twilight mode.
pSet it to a setting other than , SET UP, or (page 24).
pSet the flash to “Auto” (no indicator) or (forced flash)
(page 24).
pCancel the Twilight mode (page 28).
The eyes of the subject
come out red.
pSet the red eye reduction mode (page 25).
The date and time are
recorded incorrectly.
The date and time are not set correctly. pSet the correct date and time (page 15).
Symptom Cause Solution
The image cannot be
played back.
The mode dial is not set to .
You cannot play back the image on your camera,
if it is modified on a computer or its file name is
changed.
