and the Computer
You can connect this unit to a
computer with a USB cable or a
network cable.

installed for USB connection.
When connecting to the network,
restriction may apply if you use Home
Edition of Windows Vista or
Windows XP.
Connecting with a USB cable
1 Connect a USB cable (not
supplied) to the USB port on
the rear of the unit.
2 Connect the other end of the
USB cable to your computer.
The unit enters connecting status.

Hint
When connected for the first time, the unit
automatically installs necessary programs on
the computer. (Windows Media Player 11 or
later must be installed for Windows XP.)
Notes
• Connect the unit directly to the computer.
The unit may not work properly if
connected to a USB hub.
• Before moving the unit to connect to a
computer, turn off the power, disconnect
the power cord, and wait for at least one
minute.
