Self-diagnosis display/Warning
indicators
If indicators appear on the LCD screen,
check the following.
If the problem persists even after you
have tried to fix a couple of times, contact
your Sony dealer or local authorized Sony
service facility.
C:04:
The battery pack is not an “InfoLITHIUM”
battery pack (H series). Use an
“InfoLITHIUM” battery pack (H series)
(p
. 12).
Connect the DC plug of the AC Adaptor to the
DC IN j
ack of your camcorder securely (p. 12).
C:13: / C:32:
Remove the power source. Reconnect it and
operate your camcorder again.
E:20: / E:31: / E:61: / E:62:
/ E:91: / E:94:
Your camcorder needs to be repaired. Contact
your Sony dealer or local authorized Sony
service facility. Inform them of the 5-digit
code, which starts from “E.”

When the indicator flashes slowly, the file is
damaged or unreadable.
The internal memory of your camcorder is
full. Delete unnecessary images on the internal
m
emory (p. 36).
An error may have occurred with the internal
memory drive in your camcorder.
Battery power is low.
No “Memory Stick PRO Duo” media is
inserted (p. 38).
When the indicator flashes, there is not
enough free space for recording images. Delete
unn
ecessary images (p. 36), or format the
“Memory Stick PRO Duo” m
edia (p. 36) after
storing the images on other media.
The Image Database File is damaged. Check
the Image Database File by touching
(HOME) (MANAGE MEDIA)
[REPAIR IMG.DB F.] recording media.
The “Memory Stick PRO Duo” media is
damaged. Format the “Memory Stick PRO
Duo” m
edia with your camcorder (p. 36).
Incompatible “Memory Stick Duo” media is
inserted (p. 38).
Access to the “Memory Stick PRO Duo” media
was restricted on another device.
The camcorder is unsteady. Hold the camcorder
steady with both hands. However, note that
the camera-shake warning indicator does not
disappear.
The recording media is full. Delete unnecessary
images (p. 36).
