Changing Advanced Settings
Aperture value
Use this “aperture priority” mode to set the aperture and allow the
camera to calculate the appropriate shutter speed for the correct
exposure. The possible settings are:
Large (f/2.8 – 4.7, wide or telephoto)
Small (f/8.0 – 13.5, wide or telephoto)
Automatic
To set an aperture value:
1. Select Exposure in the Advanced menu.
2. Select Aperture val. in the EXPOSURE menu.
3. Select your desired aperture.
Manual
Use this option to manually increase or decrease the exposure of an
image.
To set the exposure manually:
1. Select Exposure in the Advanced menu.
2. Select Manual in the EXPOSURE menu. A sliding bar displays
on the right side of the color LCD.
3. Press / to increase/decrease the exposure. The exposure
changes as you scroll.
The A setting indicates that exposure is set automatically
by the camera.
4. You can do one of the following:
Take pictures with the sliding bar displayed or press to
return to the automatic exposure setting and exit the menu.
Press OK to save the manual exposure setting for future
pictures.
