50 ePhoto CL50 User’s Guide
Troubleshooting
The recorded
image is too
bright.
If the flash was in the Fill-in mode, there
was too much light.
Change the flash setting
to Auto.
The camera was pointed directly at a bright
light. Take the picture from a different angle.
You can also use PhotoWise to adjust the
brightness and contrast of your image.
You selected an incorrect advanced setting.
Readjust the setting or set it to automatic.
You were too close to the subject (i.e.,
Macro) to use the flash.
Turn off the flash
and take the picture again.
The wrong date
and/or time are
displayed.
The date and time are incorrectly set. Set
the correct date and time.
PhotoWise can’t
find the camera.
The camera is off. Slide the Mode switch to
PLAY or REC.
The serial cable is connected incorrectly.
Check the cable and connections.
The batteries are too weak. Replace them.
The serial port setting is incorrect. Your
PC’s serial port should be dedicated to the
ePhoto CL50. If your computer is running
other software in the background that period-
ically check the serial port (e.g., personal
digital assistants), turn off those programs.
There is an internal device conflict in your
computer. Check the documentation that
came with your computer or Windows.
