AE stands for Auto Exposure.
Set the mode switch to 4 (p. 42).
Choose G.
∆Choose G in Step 2 on p. 54 and press the
m button.
Adjust the settings according to
your purposes (pp. 71 – 80).

Shooting in Program AE
If a correct exposure cannot be obtained when pressing the shutter button
halfway, the shutter speed and aperture value are shown in orange. Try the
following settings to obtain the correct exposure.
• Turn on the flash (p. 71)
• Choose a higher ISO speed (p. 75)
