The camera will select the necessary settings for the conditions in which you
wish to shoot when you choose the matching mode.
Choose a Shooting mode.
z Set the mode dial to a Shooting mode.
Shoot.
I Take portraits (Portrait)
z Produces a soft effect when
photographing people.
JTake landscapes (Landscape)
z Lets you shoot majestic landscapes with a
real sense of depth.
C Take shots of kids and pets
(Kids&Pets)
z Lets you capture subjects that move
around, such as children and pets, without
missing photo opportunities.
z At maximum wide angle, move
approximately 1 m (3.3 ft.) or more away
from your subject. At maximum telephoto,
move approximately 3 m (9.8 ft.) or more
away from your subject and shoot.
Shooting in Various Conditions
In C mode, images may appear coarse because the ISO speed (p. 85) is
increased to match the shooting conditions.
