Canon EOS-3 Digital Camera User Manual

Aperture
The aperture (or F-number) indicates
the size of the aperture opening in the
lens. The aperture displayed on the
camera’s LCD panel and in the
viewfinder can range anywhere from
1.0 to 91, depending on the lens
attached to the camera. The larger the
F-number, the smaller the aperture.
And the smaller the F-number, the
larger the aperture.

Press the shutter button halfway
and focus the subject.
