Turning the Power On / Off
• Press the ON/OFF Button until the
green power lamp lights.
- The upper indicator beside the
viewfinder will flash green.
- The lens will extend when the mode
switch is set to the

- The LCD monitor will turn on when

• Press the ON/OFF Button again to turn
off the power.
• The Set Date/Time menu will appear the first time the
camera power is turned on or whenever the charge of the
built-in rechargeable lithium date/time battery is low. Reset
the date and time when this occurs (p. 24).
• If the power save function activates, press the ON/OFF
Button to restore power.
