Preparing the Camera, Basic Functions
You will hear a start-up sound and see the start-up
image when the power comes on. (To change the start-
up sound and image, see below and pages 52 and 181.)
The start-up image does not appear when the LCD
monitor is off or the
terminal is connected to a
TV.
Turning on the camera without the start-up sound and
image
Press and hold the
button, then turn on the power.
Power-saving Function
When the camera’s power-saving function is turned on
and it activates, restore power by pressing the ON/OFF
button.
Shooting Mode
The power will automatically shut off approximately 3
minutes after the last function is accessed. Even if the
power-saving function is turned off, the LCD monitor will
shut off approximately 3 minutes after the last function is
accessed. Press any button other than the ON/OFF
button to restore the LCD monitor.
Replay Mode
The power will automatically shut off approximately 5
minutes after the last function is accessed.
While Connected to a Printer
The power will automatically shut off approximately 5
minutes after the last camera function is accessed or
printer (sold separately) ceases to print an image.
The power-saving function will not activate while the
camera is in auto play mode or during a computer
connection (p. 130, 167).
You can turn off the power-saving function in the [
(Set up)] menu (p. 178).
