ATW: Auto-tracking white balance
The white balance mode is set to auto-tracking at the factory. Set the cursor to ATW and
press the Set button.
ATW and preset (AWC) modes, the white balance is automatically controlled in the color
temperature range of 2500 K to8000 K.
Note: The ATW may not operate correctly in the following types of cases. In such cases,
adjust the white balance manually.
l When a large part of the scene is occupied by a single color or the color white is nearly
absent from the scene.
l Illumination is from multiple light sources with different color temperatures.
l Special types of lighting, such as sodium lamps, are used.
l The background is completely red or blue color.
AWC: Preset white balance
1) Press the left (right) direction button to set the cursor to AWC, then press the Set button
(SET AWC flashes).

2) Arrange to have a white object present in the scene and illuminated by the normal
lighting to be used in the particular installation. Press the Set button to begin automatic
white balance adjustment. The adjustment is complete when SET AWC extinguishes.
Automatic adjustment takes several seconds, but if not completed in about 10 seconds,
perform the following steps.
