To adjust exposure compensation when photo-
graphing very bright, very dark, or high-contrast
subjects, press the selector up ([]). Pressthe selec-
tor up or down to choose an exposure compensa-
tion value and then press MENWOK
Choose positive (+) volues
to increose exposure
Choose negotive () volues
to reduce exposure
A[] icon and exposure indicator aredisplayed at settings other than _+0.Exposure
compensation is not resetwhen the camera isturned off;to restore normal expo-
surecontrol, choose a valueof_+O.
Turn tile flashoff when usingexposure compensation.
Exposure compensation is available only when P (PROGRAMAE) is selected for
shooting mode.
