Safety and handling precautions
Camera information
Do not take apart or attempt to service the camera yourself.
Do not expose the camera to moisture, or extremes in
temperature.
Let the camera warm up when moving from a cold to a warm
temperature.
Do not touch the lenses of the camera.
Do not expose the lens to direct sunlight for extended periods
of time.
Battery information
Turn off the camera before installing or removing batteries.
Use only AA alkaline batteries.
Always replace both batteries with two new ones. Do not mix
old and new batteries.
Do not use batteries that are leaking, corroded, or damaged.
Remove the batteries (and any SmartMedia card) from the
camera if you are going to store the camera for extended
periods of time.
When loading the batteries in the camera, ensure that the
battery polarity (+ and -) is as indicated on the camera.
If any liquid leaks from the batteries, wipe the battery
compartment thoroughly and then load new batteries.
If any battery fluid comes into contact with your hands or
clothing, flush the area thoroughly with water. Note that battery
fluid can cause loss of eyesight if it gets into your eyes. If this
occurs, do not rub your eyes. Flush the fluid out with clean
water and contact your doctor for treatment.
When disposing of batteries, do so in accordance with your
local waste disposal regulations.
Do not drop or subject the batteries to impacts.
Camera Storage
Do not store or use the camera in the following types of
location:
1. Very humid, dirty or dusty places
2. In direct sunlight or in places subject to extreme
temperature rises, such as in a closed car in summer.
3. Extremely cold places.
