<O Using the Self-Timer
To use the self-timer, press the selector down (_)
and choose from the following options:
Option Description
(OFF) Self-timer off.
The camera starts the timer when it detects two portrait subjects close together.
Press the selector up to choose how close the subjects must be together before
d._ (COUPLETIMER)
the timer starts (the more hearts, the closer the subjects must be together).
_, To stop the timer before the picture is taken, press DISP/BACK
The camera will start the timer when it detects the selected number of portrait
d_'_,(GROUPTIMER)subjects. Press the selector up to choose the number of subjects.

The shutter is released ten seconds after the shutter button is pressed. Use for
d_ (10SEO self-portraits. The self-timer lamp on the front of the camera blinks while the
timer counts down.
The shutter is released two seconds after the shutter button is pressed. Use to
t!_ (2SEC) reduce blur caused by the camera moving when the shutter-release button is
)ressed. The self-timer lamp will blink as the timer counts down.
