Direct printing problems
Ready light blinks
orange.
Flash is not charged. Wait. Resume picture taking
when the light stops blinking
and turns off.
Auto exposure or
auto-focus are not set.
Release the Shutter button and
recompose the picture.
Ready light glows steady
red.
Camera’s internal
memory or card is full.
Transfer pictures to the
computer (page 38), delete
pictures from camera (page 25),
switch image storage locations
(page 20), or insert card with
available memory (page 7).
Camera processing
memory is full.
Wait. Resume picture taking
when the light turns off.
Card is read-only. Change image storage location
to internal memory (page 20), or
use a different card.
Status Cause Solution
Camera or printer display
an error message.
There is a camera or
printer issue.
Follow the prompts to resolve
the issue. (The camera screen
may display error messages for
the printer. See the printer user
guide, if applicable.)
Cannot locate desired
picture.
The Mode dial is set to
Favorites.
Turn off the camera, then turn
the Mode dial to Auto.
Camera is not accessing
the storage location for
that picture.
Use the Direct print menu to
change the image storage
location (internal memory, card,
or Favorites).
The Direct print menu
interface turns off.
The menu interface has
timed out.
Press any button to redisplay it.
Cannot print pictures. There is a connection
issue.
Ensure the connection between
camera and printer (page 39).
There is a power issue. Ensure the printer and camera
have power (page 39).
