Troubleshooting
Computer/connectivity problems
Memory card is almost
or entirely full
Transfer the pictures to the computer (see page 44).
Delete pictures from the card or insert a new card.
Change the image storage location to internal memory (see
page 33).
Battery life is short
Make sure the correct battery type is installed (see page 59).
Wipe the contacts with a clean, dry cloth before inserting a
battery in the camera.
Insert a new or charged battery (see page 1).
You cannot take a
picture
Turn the camera off, then on again.
Depress the Shutter button all the way (see page 6).
Insert a new or charged battery (see page 1).
Memory is full. Transfer pictures to the computer (see page 44),
delete pictures (see page 14), change image storage location
(see page 33), or insert another card.
Error message appears
on LCD
Turn the camera off, then on again.
Remove the memory card.
Turn off the camera. Remove the battery. Wipe the contacts with
a clean, dry cloth.
Insert a new or charged battery.
If the problem still exists, get help (see page 53).
Memory card not
recognized or camera
freezes with card
Card may be corrupted. Format the card in the camera (see
page 33).
Use another memory card.
