VIEWING IMAGES ON A TELEVISION
It is possible to view camera images on your television. The camera has a video-out
terminal which can be used to connect the camera to a television using the supplied AV
cable. The camera is compatible with the NTSC and PAL standards. The video-output
setting can be checked and set in the advanced 2 section of the setup menu (p. 118).
Turn off the television and the camera.
Insert the mini-plug end of the AV cable into the
camera’s AV-out terminal.
Plug the other end of the AV cable into the video
and audio input terminal on the television. The
yellow plug is for the video output, and the white
plug is for the monaural audio output.
Turn the television on.
Turn the camera’s mode dial to the playback
position. The camera’s monitors will not activate
when the camera is attached to a television. The
playback-mode display will be visible on the
television screen.
Change the television to the video channel.
View images as described in the playback section. Use the television controls to
adjust the volume of the audio playback. Because of the broadcast standard used to
display television images, image quality and resolution will appear lower than when
displayed on a computer monitor.
